the moon and sixpence
All weekend, this moon kept me company. She followed me home
from my show in the darkness, watched over me as I slept,
woke me up a few times with her brilliance
tap, tap, tapping on my window.
Soothing sentinel.
Sublime sister.
Beacon.
All weekend, this moon kept me company.
All weekend, there was peace
