simple dreams
wow, it was another crazy week.
i did manage to spend one whole afternoon in my garden,
that always soothes the soul.
it was the kind of day that made me wish i lived outside,
well, as long as it could always be that kind of day.
things are blooming in the garden,
two bluebirds are considering build a nest in the birdhouse
(which worries me because of the cats)
and i saw the first hummingbird of the year.
a crazy week, but a wonderful day.
the older i get, the easier i am to amuse.
i like the simple things.
a flower. a bird. the sun.
right now, that’s all it takes
to make me happy.

I got a glimpse of my first hummingbird this year too, can’t wait to see more. I’m with you, it really is about the simple things.

I know exactly what you mean. Putzing around the yard is so soothing to the soul. And everything right now is so lush and full. I haven’t seen any of my hummingbirds yet, but hope to soon!

It is wonderful to be easily amused. Life is so much more enjoyable when the littlest of things bring joy.
Your pictures are superb! And the addition of the textures is top notch!
