because this is sunshine turned into smile

cheap grocery store flowers bringing joy
in a way that never occurs in august

this clear blue sky and i

pretending

we hear robin song and bloom

unfold

you are right. i linger by the grocery store flowers longer in winter. i love this yellow.

Once again wonderful. The ancients celebrated this day as Imbolc, a cross quarter day in the wheel of the year; the midpoint between winter and spring. Our not-so-romantic culture changed it to Groundhog Day. There are early sprouts out there beneath the snow, and enticing tulips at the market.

This beauty made me smile, too.
