but they seem so much confetti
for a hummingbird’s
celebration of spring and life
and endless cycles
it’s hard to imagine
what life must be like on the wing
of such a tiny, speeding bird
but it’s not at all difficult
to see why they are drawn
to the siren song
of summer

Kelly is this flower lantana? and if so does it grow wild where you live.
Here in Ontario it is only an annual but at home in Australia it grows wild. I do miss it and often buy it as an annual this time of year.
